A few years ago, I had read an article that described a productivity tool used by Jerry Seinfeld.
Don’t use this tool unless you want to be consistant at something, be it reading Qur’an, writing, going to the gym or whatever it is.
Here’s how it works. Again, don’t use this tool if you don’t want to build a habit.

Whatever information you consume, it changes you, for better or for worse.
Sheikh Muhammad Al-shareef sometimes in his classes, randomly asks, “How do you kill a vampire?!” Think about it, how would you kill a vampire?
You may have thought things like, “with a wooden stake,” “sunlight,” etc. The sheikh then proceeds to tell you that you have your head filled with junk! Vampires don’t exist!
So, assuming you use netflix, it may cost you a few dollars for a movie. In addition, it will cost you approximately two hours of your time which you will never get back! And lastly, but perhaps most costly, is mental corruption.
All writers and movie producers have an agenda, a goal, a message that they want the audience to walk out with, after they watch a movie. I agree, some of these messages may be of benefit, but they are far and few in between.
Usually, movies assault you in a number of fronts, some of which include:
I started thinking about this subject a few days ago after watching ___________; a very disturbing movie on many fronts. It was fresh in my mind for a few days—that’s how disturbing it was. (I’ve actually removed the name of the movie, lest I tempt you to watch it.)
Some sort of a sexual scene has become a must have in a movie; at least for the trailer! There are great chances that you’ll be affected by it on some level.
Moral corruption goes more along the same line. Different, corrupt, ideas are presented in movies that are passed as okay and make one feel weird for not accepting these corrupt ideas.
Criminal training, I think, occurs when people get criminal ideas and even learn methods to get away with crime from movies. Consider Law & Order - Special Victim’s Unit. It depicts these really vile sexual crimes done against children. These vile ideas aren’t thought up by every criminal, rather they spread from one criminal to another. Criminals in a way, also stand on shoulders of (criminal) “giants.”
Anyway, I won’t make this longer but next time you’re about to watch a movie, think about how much it will really cost you.
When things change, I think that’s easy to get really wrapped up in the complaints.

You were probably on facebook stalking people (me :/) and are now here just reading and not doing much.
Well, stop it! Get to work! Work on your goals and accomplish them, already. Work tirelessly. Taste the sweet victory. Imagine what people will say to you. Imagine what your boss will say to you. Imagine how it feels! Imagine how it will look. Imagine how you will look!
So, stop it and get to work!

As Muslims, we are required to lower our gaze and not look at the opposite sex. Reason: to curb temptation (hereby referred to as fitnah).
I broke my glasses about two weeks ago and it’s been quite interesting without them. You see, I’m nearsighted and although I can see my computer screen, more distant objects become blurry.
Breaking my glasses had some really interesting benefits, though:
I just bought my new glasses today, but, insha Allah (God Willing), I will experiment with keeping them off to curb fitnah. So, are you lucky enough to need glasses?!
As promised in my first post on this blog, here are the Goals notes I took from a Brian Tracy Audio lecture. Like it, love it, share it, but above all, USE it!
Trying to do a Software Update on MacBook (think Windows Update, for the Windows users), I found out that I don’t have enough space on my hard disk! This was a surprise. Back in 2008, I figured 150GB would be more than enough but alas, I now needed more space.
So, just by cleaning up my Trash folder and removing my Downloads folder freed up more than 4GB! Now that’s a great start…

Lots of people were skeptical, but that’s always true when you do something that hasn’t been done before.
